Merry has over a decade of experience as a professional dancer. She found the joy of dance during the square dances put on in her old Kentucky home, Berea, where she developed her craft as a storyteller. With no access to a studio, Merry learned ballet from David Howard via VHS. Merry paid for dance classes at a small studio by assisting the instructor and eventually moved to Lexington to attend the pre-professional program at Bluegrass Youth Ballet. Merry continued to develop as a performer and storyteller through her education and training in communication, public narrative, and community organizing. She has participated in programs with Harvard University and the US Department of State. She has a PhD in Communication for Development from the University of Kentucky. During her graduate program, she trained across the United States in aerial arts and contortion. She returned to musical theatre in 2022 and credits the experience with giving her the confidence to leave domestic violence. Since her escape, she vowed to live life big. She has attended the 2023 Steps on Broadway Summer Conservatory program, and has performed with a variety of artists, including Gunhild Carling. Merry currently performs with Sora Contemporary Circus, Allegro Dance Project, and the Collected Few. She has been featured in shows and events in Indianapolis, Louisville, and NYC.

Merry is available for hire for events, theatrical productions, and film work. She is a vibrant performer with a background in classical ballet and musical theatre. Merry is a highly engaging performer with emotional depth and enough energy to fill the room. Her strong lines and incredible flexibility make her performances breath-taking and memorable.
