Dance + Theatre + Circus

Merry’s energy fills a room. Her movement is joyful, graceful, and sultry. She plays characters with depth and impeccable comedic timing. In the ensemble, she brings life to the stage. She’s a mezzo-soprano with athletic stamina for days.

Dance.

Merry always dreamed of becoming a dancer but first learned from VHS tapes in her Eastern Kentucky home. Merry went on to study ballet with Bluegrass Youth Ballet on the pre-professional track. Ultimately, she returned to her dance training as an adult. She trained with the Lexington Ballet, Steps on Broadway’s Summer Study ‘23, and continued training with Andrew Black (Tap), Andrew Winans (Jazz/Tap), Tommy Schrivens (theatre jazz), Rachel Lee Dolan (theatre jazz), and Sissa Strain (acro), as well as many other teachers. She continues her training under the direction of Susie Thiel at the University of Kentucky’s dance program. Merry has performed with Allegro Dance Project (contemporary ballet), Sora Contemporary Circus (jazz and partnering), Gunhild Carling (jazz), and many other companies and works.
